FAQs
How do I get involved if I want to help with the reunion?
First, thank you! There are many ways for you to help. Here are the top three:
Register for the reunion! Attend all of the events! Classmates will love to see you and this is the number one way you can get involved.

Tell others to come to the reunion! 20 years after graduation, there’s no way the officers alone can get in touch with 100% of our 300+ classmates. We will try but if we truly want everyone to know about this reunion and feel invited to it, everyone needs to help get the word out!

Plan a Sunday Small Group! This will be an excellent way for smaller groups of classmates with similar memories, friend groups, and interests to connect before the festivities are over. To plan a Sunday Small Group, email officers@marysville2005.com. The deadline to plan SSGs is 9/1/25.
Who is planning this reunion?
All of us in MHS Class of 2005! The reunion will only work if all of us come together. We need alumni to come, and to help get the word out, and especially for those interested to step up and plan some Sunday Small groups by 9/1/25.
As for the Friday and Saturday events, The Class of 2005 Class Officers have been hard at work planning those. We took seriously your vote to entrust us with reunion planning and we strive to make the planning process as representative of our class as possible.
Why are we not just having one event?
Two reasons: to continue the fun for as long as possible, and to make sure that classmates with different needs and preferences have multiple options! We are fortunate to have a big enough class where we can have a critical mass at multiple events. And if you want to see everyone, you will just have to come to all of the events ;)
Do I need to attend all the events?
No! While it would be ideal for everyone to attend all the events, we know that’s not practical. Attend the events that fit your schedule and your personal preferences.
Why isn’t Booze, Brews, and Memories a free event?
Our 20th reunion is special and we thought it would be worth it to pay a little extra for our own space to celebrate. And so, the registration fees cover the space rental. We tried to be as frugal as possible because affordability is really important. If you prefer not to pay the registration for Leon’s, rest assured that the Bagels & Coffee will be completely free of charge (thanks, sponsors!)
Is there any way I could attend the reunion without paying any money?
Yes! Thanks to our sponsors, Bagels & Coffee is a completely free event.
Can my kids come to the reunion?
Kids are welcome at the Homecoming Game because that’s a public event but we ask that Bagels & Coffee and Booze, Brews, and Memories remain adults-only - just Class of 2005 attendees, Class of 2005 teachers, and their plus ones.
Can MHS Class of 2005 teachers come to the reunion?
Yes! They can and should register just as an MHS 05 Alum would register.
Can other MHS Alumni not in 2005 graduating class come to our reunion?
We would love to see them at the Homecoming Game and at any Small Groups that might apply to their interests! Bagels & Coffee and Booze, Brews, and Memories are only for the Class of 2005 and Class of 2005 teachers.
How can I be sure the money I’m paying is used for the reunion?
We are taking precautions to make sure each account and payment is monitored by two unrelated adults. We are also running a deficit, meaning the funds we’re raising will only cover a portion of the total costs. As such, the gap will be covered by sponsors and individual donations. You can rest assured all monies raised will be spent by the time the reunion is over.
Who do I contact if I have questions, comments, or concerns?
Contact the class officers: officers@marysville2005.com
I’m not sure if I should go to the reunion because I feel guilty I haven’t kept up with classmates. Should I still come?
Yes! And that’s a common feeling. Many of us are in that same boat. Life gets hard and priorities change with jobs, families, kids, time passing in general. Rest easy- we’ll understand. Come anyway. It’s not just you.
I’m not sure if I should go to the reunion because I feel self-conscious. Should I still come?
Yes! This is also a common feeling. Whether you’re worried about accidental comparisons or just not feeling like you’re good enough, everyone has felt this at some point. Ultimately it’s up to you whether you attend but understand that it’s normal and okay to feel self-conscious and that you’re not the only one. Our classmates are not coming to this reunion to get a laundry list of your accomplishments or shortcomings since graduation. They are looking to reconnect with you - for the person you were, and the person you have become.
I just don’t really want to come. Why should I?
That’s fine. You don’t have to. But remember that there are two sides here. You, and everyone else. Even if you don’t want to come, push yourself to reconsider because there are likely a lot of people who would get sincere enjoyment from seeing you again. If you’re not doing it for yourself, you could do it for them.

What are you doing to make sure everyone knows about the reunion?

A lot! In addition to spreading the word on social media, we are going through the yearbook to try to make sure everyone knows about it. But 20 years after graduation, it's impossible to find and invite everyone personally. That's where you come in. We need your help. It is ALL of our responsibility to spread the word in our own groups of friends we have stayed in contact with. If you have an idea of someone who you want to see- do not wait - give them the link to this site and tell them to come!
